Dominique Strauss-Kahn, International Monetary Fund managing director, has warned India that a global slowdown will significantly impact the India economy according to the Business Standard.
While some argue that explosive growth in emerging markets indicates a decoupling from the US economy, Kahn made it very clear that such an idea was misleading.
Essentially, complex trade and financial market links to the US make decoupling difficult for the India economy and should be considered if the world experiences an extended US slow down.
